Age limits of TNPSC Forest Apprentices Post
Candidates applying for Forest Apprentices must be below 30 years and above 18 years as reckoned on 01-04-2018. Relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved category.
Educational Qualifications for TNPSC Forest Apprentices Recruitment
Candidates desirous for joining as Forest Apprentices must be a Graduate in Forestry or Science related subjects from a University recognized by UGC. Refer the official notification for brief listing of courses acceptable.
Pay Scale
Selected Apprentices will be appointed on a proposed salary of Level- 20: Rs.37,700- 1,19,500 per month. Other allowances/benefits included as per the rules.
Application Fee
For General/OBC Category candidates, application fee is Rs 150/-
SC/ST/PH Category candidates are exempted from paying any application/Examination fee.
Selection Process for TNPSC Forest Apprentices Jobs
Applicants who have successfully submitted their candidature for Forest Apprentices Post will be assessed on following parameters followed by Interview allotted in the last for 120 marks:
1.Written Exam:
Paper-I & Paper-II: It will cover graduation concerned subject chosen as optional namely- Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Marine Biology and Wildlife biology.
Marks allotted to each: 300 marks
Time duration: 3 hours
Paper-III: General Studies (150 Questions) and Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (50 Questions)
Medium of question paper will be English & Tamil
Marks allotted: 300marks
Time duration: 3 hours
2.Physical Efficiency Test: It will include running test, details as follows;
Male: 25 km in 4 hours
Female: 16km in 4 hours

4.Medical Certificate
Applicants selected for appointment to Forest Apprentice post will be required to produce a certificate of physical fitness including vision test and disable certificate.
