Introduction

Punjab Public Service Commission released an official notification inviting regional aspirants for recruitment to various high-ranking posts which includes Assistant Agriculture Engineer, Scientific Officer and Analyst jobs. Candidates interested can submit the online application form from 15th June 2018 to 6th July 2018. As per latest notification, a total of 47 vacancies are to be recruited under PPSC distributed within 7 major posts. Selection of candidate will be based on a final score obtained by the compilation of Written Exam and Personal Interview.  Age limit for Punajb PSC Recruitment 2018

Candidates applying for the possession must not exceed the upper age of 37 years and the lower age limit set is 18 years as on 01-01-2018.

Upper age limit is relaxed up to 42 years for reserved categories and for physically handicapped 47 years.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

1. Assistant Agriculture Engineer

Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution.

2. Industrial Manager, Assistant Director

Candidate applying have mandatorily pursued Engineering in any field and holds a minimum of 3 years on field work experience or 3 years teaching experience in any recognized technical institution.

3. Drugs Control officer

A person contending for this post must possess a B.Pharm degree or any equivalent Pharmaceutical Science degree from a recognized University.

4. Senior Scientific Officer

Candidate opting for this high-ranked post should be a Post Graduate or Researcher in Medicine or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Work Experience will add a notch to the profile.

5. Microbiologist

Those interested in this post must possess a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry along with teaching experience of minimum 5 years.

6. Drug Analyst

Candidate seeking job as Analyst must be thorough with the basis of statistics and analytical research. Job profile must have mandatorily a Post Graduate degree in medical sector.

7. Food Safety Analyst

One must have in-depth analytical skills related to food standard. A Master’s degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science or even V.Sc. will be picked.

 Application Fee for Punjab PSC Recruitment 2018

Examination fess for the application form can be deposited by means of Bank challan through any branch of State bank of India. After submitting the form, applicant must take the print out of the system generated.

Application fees including application charges and examination fees as follows :

For Reserved Category (SC/ST all state and Punjab) : Rs 1125/-

For Physically Handicapped (Regionals of Punjab) : Rs 1750/-

For Ex-Serviceman ( Punjab only) : Rs 500

For Other Categories (Punjab and other states): Rs 3000/-

Selection Process for Punjab PSC Recruitment 2018

Candidates will be appointed to desired posts under Punjab PSC recruitment on the basis of performance in 2 stages:

1. Written Exam
2. Personal Interview

Qualifying in both does not guarantee selection, more stringent criteria like higher educational qualification and years of work experience will only make it to the merit list.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Punjab PSC Recruitment 2018

Question paper will consists of 170 objective type questions from the syllabus framed as per PPSC guidelines. The Multiple type Questions comprising of 140 questions from the academic syllabus, 30 questions from General Awareness which accounts for 340 marks and Interview – 60 marks making a total of 400 marks out of which merit list will be prepared.

Step3. A page listing name of the posts will appear, select the desired post you want to apply for.
