DMRC Requirement for the Post of Legal General Manager. Check Eligibility and Other Details

Applications are invited from experienced, dynamic and motivated candidates for the position of Legal General Manager at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). There is only one vacancy for this position. The last date to submit filled in application through speed post is January 10, 2018. Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants applying for this position must be of Indian nationality. The age of the applicant applying should not exceed 55 years as on January 01, 2018. In addition to this, they must have passed Bachelor of Law (LLB) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a university or institute recognized by the Indian government. If one holds a master’s degree in law, it will be an add-on.

Job Details

As the Legal General Manager at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, you shall be responsible for the ownership of all the legal matters of the corporation. Additionally, you will be responsible for the arbitration and various other areas such as conciliation and adjudication for various authorities.

In case you are selected, you will be appointed on a probation of two years. This will include your training period before takeover of the duties. The IDA pay scale of this position is INR 51300-73000.

Also, you will need to follow a mandatory surety bond of INR 4,00,000 plus applicable service tax, along with the cost of training plus applicable service tax of three years (exclusive of the period of Leave Without Pay (LWP), if any).

It means that you could not leave the job for at least three years. In case you want to, you will have to pay the applicable amount to DMRC. Post three years also, you will need to serve a three months’ prior notice in case you want to leave the services.

Work Experience Required

The work experience criterion for this position varies based on different organizations in which you hold the experience. All of those are mentioned below.

Work Experience for Government Employees

You can apply for the post of Legal General Manager at DMRC, only if you have work experience with any one of the following positions:

• Executive of Government Organization or PSU in CDA pay scale of INR 37400-67000 (grade pay of INR 10000)
• Executive of Government Organization or PSU in the IDA pay scale of INR 513000-73000.
• Executive of Government Organization or PSU in CDA pay scale of INR 37400-67000 (grade pay of INR 8700) with minimum four years in CDA pay scale of INR 37400-67000 (grade pay of INR 8700) – SG level.
• Executive of Government Organization or PSU in IDA pay scale of INR 43200-66000 with a minimum of four years in IDA – E-7 level (INR 43200-66000)

Work Experience for Judicial Officers or Legal Practitioner

You can also apply for the mentioned position, if you have served as a Judicial Officer at the designation of District and Session Judge for a minimum of 5 years’ period with total experience of 23 years.

Work Experience for Private Sector Candidates

You must have worked as a Legal Executive in the private sector organizations with at least 23 years of relevant experience to be eligible to apply.

Selection Process

You will go through three stages as part of the selection process – interview, group discussion and medical examination. Only one candidate who will clear all these three rounds will be considered for joining.

Selection process will judge the candidate based on various parameters such as knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and physical fitness. Once you are through with the interview and group discussion, you will need to clear the screening process and medical examination.

The category of the medical examination is Executive or Non-Technical as per the standards. In case you could not pass the prescribed medical test, you will not be given any alternative employment.
