Age limits for BARC Scientific Assistant, Technician Posts
Candidates applying for Scientific Assistant Post must not exceed the upper age of 24 years and lower than 19 years while for Technician Jobs, applicant’s age must lie between 18 to 22 years as reckoned on 01-07-2018.
Educational Qualifications for BARC Scientific Assistant, Technician Recruitment
Candidates applying for any of the above posts must be Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Chemical Engineering and Diploma in Computer Science / B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
Must also stand eligible as per the basic Physical Standards:

Selected candidates will be appointed on a proposed salary of Rs 21,700/- to 44,900/- as per the post.

Selection Process for BARC Scientific Assistant, Technician Jobs
Applicants who have successfully registered for any of the above Post within the stipulated date will be assessed on the basis of Written Exam & Interview.
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Category-I
Written Exam will consist of 40 Objective questions based on the syllabus as per the highest qualification (Diploma/B.Sc. standard). Candidates qualifying the written examination will be called for Interview. During Interrogation, each correct answer will reward candidate with 3 marks and each wrong will deduct 1 mark from the total. Final selection will be entirely based on Interview Assessment.
Category-II
Written Examination for Category-II will consist of 3 stages, brief description below:
Stage-1 (Initial Examination)
First stage of Examination is only for short-listing the candidates as to proceed with selection process.
Stage-I Exam will consist of MCQ based examination comprising of 3 sections. Time allotted for the exam is 1 Hour. Each correct answer will give ‘3’ marks and each wrong will deduct ‘1’ from the total.
Mathematics: 20 questions
Science: 20 Questions
General Knowledge: 10 questions
Stage-II
Candidates qualifying the Stage-I will only be allowed to appear for Stage-II Examination. Second Stage Exam will consist of 50 Objective Type questions to be completed in two hours based on the syllabus as per the requisite qualification for the desired post.
Stage-III (Skill Test)
This will be based on Go/No Go test.
Combined scores of all the stages will be considered for final selection of respective candidature.
Training Period
Selected candidates will be subjected to a training period of 2 years under a monthly stipend of Rs 10,500/- to 18,000/-
Application Fee
Candidates applying for Category-I, application fee is Rs 150/-
Candidates applying for Category-II, application fee is Rs 100/-
Reserved Category candidates (SC/ST/PWD) and Female candidates are exempted from paying any application fee.
