Qualifications For AP TET Exam Paper I (Class I to V): 

Candidate must have completed Intermediate/ Senior Secondary or equivalent qualification with 50% marks (for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD candidates 45%) and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or 4 years B.El.Ed or 2 years Diploma in Special Education.

Qualifications For AP TET Exam Paper II (Class VI to VIII): 

Candidate must have passed BA/ BSc/ BCom with 50% marks (for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD candidates 45%) and B.Ed/ B.Ed Special Education.

Child Development & Pedagogy: Educational Psychology of teaching & learning relevant to the primary level.

Language I: Languages offered Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarathi.

Candidates have to study one of these 8 languages up to Class X.

Language II: shall be English

Mathematics & Environmental Studies: on the basis of Class I to Vth class topics.

Paper II consists of 150 MCQs and the duration of exam is 2hrs 30 minutes.

Candidates have to study one of these 7 languages up to Class X.

-Language II: shall be English

-Mathematics & Science Questions will be as follows:

1. Mathematics 30 MCQs (Content- 24, Pedagogy- 6)
2. Science 30 MCQs (Content- Physical Science- 12, Biological Science-12, Science Pedagogy- 6 questions).
