APRCET PhD MPhil Admission Test/Exam 2018: The Andhra Pradesh University released an official notification for the Common Research Admission Test paving way for the admission to PhD and MPhil courses. As many as 2900 seats are allotted through Andhra Pradesh State Council of
Higher Education Board for the current year. Candidates interested provided they meets the essential qualifications can apply online before the last date i.e. 25th July 2018. Selection of candidates for the Research School will be based on Written Exam followed by an Interview. Age limits for APRCET PhD MPhil Admissions

Candidates applying for Research School must be below 35years and above 21 years as reckoned on 01-07-2018. Relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved category.

Educational Qualifications for APRCET PhD MPhil Admission Test

Candidates desirous for studying Research must be a Post-Graduate in concerned discipline from a University duly-recognized by UGC. Refer the official notification for brief listing of courses applicable.

Application Fee

For General/OBC Category candidates, application fee is Rs 1400/- For SC/ST/PH Category candidates, application fee is Rs 1000/-

Selection Process for APRCET PhD MPhil Admission Test

Applicants who have successfully submitted their candidature for APRCET will be assessed on the basis of merit obtained in the written exam (180 marks) followed by Interview allotted in the last for 20 marks: Written Exam The test allotted for 180 marks will be held in online mode based on the syllabus as prescribed by UGC NET for students opting for humanities, CSIR-NET for students belonging to Science stream and GATE for Engineering. Questions will be of Objective type with negative marking scheme, for each wrong answer 1/6th of mark will be deducted from the total score. The qualifying marks are 50% for General category and 45% for SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates. The Online test will consist of two parts carrying equal weightage: Part-A: Teaching and Research aptitude for 90 marks in 90 minutes, Part-B: Subject concerned questions for 90 marks in 90 minutes. Note: A provisional merit list will be prepared on the basis of merit obtained in the Online test and the short-listed candidates will then be called for an Interview.
